Fragmenting my hard drive
We've joked about it enough in this forum. I finally did it, and filmed it for the world to see. Thanks to DriverGuy for putting the video up today.
If anybody has trouble seeing it, try saving it to your hard drive first (right-click, then save-target-as). Oh yeah, and make sure you have RealPlayer (free at www.real.com).

LOL!!!!
How close were you?
judging by the angle and the accuracy, I would say that you were probably 5-10 ft away.
Now there is something that I wish I could do several times a day while at work.
Hey Mikey, You'll shoot your eye out kid!!!

I was more like 35 feet away. I didn't want to lose an eye. The camera was on a tripod about twenty feet back.
My .22 has a nice scope on it. In fact, it zoomed in so much that I had to adjust it to a lower setting.
Considering that I was laying on the ground for stability, and that .22's don't have much kick, maintaining an accurate shot was no problem.
My biggest problem was that I've been using cheap ammo that jams the gun up. The clip holds 10 but locked up a two or three times when I shot the CDROM. The video was lousy, so I turned it into an animated GIF so I could use the good frames.
I confess, I did take the hard drives screws before I shot it, so we could see more action. I don't think it would have been as interesting if I left the case on. It probably would have looked like the CDROM.
