l noticed, all the people with whom l've spoken, who support Bush, are either too young or too old to be drafted. lt is obvious a lot of us will be sent over to Iraq, to prove to the simple minded "how strong the Repulican Party is" (even though the last time we bombed the Middle East, the price of oil skyrocketed within 5 years; obviously war is not the answer here). l'll admit, l was too young to be drafted during the last Bush regime, and l completely supported his jingoistic bombing...but now that l'm a little older, and l've seen how it doesn't work, l just can't bring myself to support Bush. l support Gun-owner's rights, and l want Campaign finance reform, and l think Religion and moral agenda have NO PLACE in our government...which is why l'll support Nader, who is basically as anti-Gore as anyone else.

The only other things Bush has, are his National Defense plan (the US has the NUMBER ONE military in the world, but the 15th ranked public education system! Do we need any more money for the military? Noone in their right mind is going to war with us, and we can't get any bigger! Lets sell one of those stealth bombers and try to bring our children's reading level out of the toilet.), and the fact he isn't running with Leiberman.

And for all you Gore haters, keep this in mind: a vote for Bush is a vote for Bush. A vote for Nader is a vote taken away from Gore!

I was just curious who techs were voting for. I was wondering if there was a majority out there. Remember, I did not want to start any flames. Sorry for posting on a sensitive subject. My mistake. BTW, I am voting for Bush. Peace, guys.

    Gods,
Are we ALL that cynical about politics..nevermind. I stopped voting in Presidential elections when years back I realized my vote/voice MADE NO DIFFERENCE. In an election system the Guarantees that only the 2 Major parties have a hope in hell of winning and completely DENIES any hope of a legitimate 3rd/4th? whatever, Party. Face it, you have no voice, the government no longer speaks for us, it serves the interests of only the lobyist and special interest. Yes yes, I know if we all spoke out, there would be a Reckoning in Washington, but how can you make the cynical bas##rds like me believe in the proccess again?

Gore is a pathalogical liar. The thing that scares me about him, is he thinks he actualy did all the crap he say's he did. I don't want a man that can't tell the truth from his imagination, to have his finger on the "little red button". This scares the crap out of me. I am voting for Bush because i am a rebublican, and always have been, I don't Care for him, like I liked Ragen, or even daddy Bush. But, Nader and buchanon can't win, and if Gore wins, I am moving somewhere out of the country. I can't take 4 more years of Clintenesk crap! If I wanted to live in a socialistic country, I would move to California, where all my rights would have been stripped from me already. I enjoy haveing guns, I enjoy my internet nudy sights, and I don't want anyone telling me what to do, Al Gore wants more govrnment, he wants bigger programs, thats crap, give me back my money so I can envest it myself. Let me be the Bus driver of my own damb destiny!

Clinton and Gore (mostly Gore) have been pushing through Environmental legislation that closes PUBLIC land (That's right, locks public land away from the public...) to keep us Nasty 4x4'ers of the trails... ummm... If you take away the legitimate trails, then you kind of encourage that illegal trail riding they're trying to squelch... (That is one complaint out of many-besides, Al might get stuff done, no matter how ill-conceived it is. I don't think Congress-or anybody-will take Bush seriously enough to do anything...) Plus, There is one word that scares the 5h1t out of me... TIPPER... ACK!! GAWD NO! Does anyone remember that little censorship fiasco back in the 80's/90's??? Or am I just too old? What if she wants to clamp down on Father Al's invention?

Sorry for the rant... Heck, I'd probably vote for SavagePenguin before I'd vote for Al... Wait a minute... Here we go... Let's nominate Savage! We need more scientific funding for Projects like MASKI and Stinkyfeet! Write-in Ballot, everyone!
exactly!! Tipper is a _____. PMRC is what you're speakin of. That is forever ingrained in my memory! Try to tell me what I can or can't listen to? Bite me! I can only imagine what she would do with a larger stage to stand on!

sorry, i got lost there for a second.

i'll probably vote third party if at all.

    Red face

l hate Gore as much as the next guy...but can people stop bringing up his wife, and acting like "first lady" is more than just some twit who married a politician??? If Gore gets elected, Tipper's politics and moral agenda mean D*CK to us, and the country. She has no more power than the rest of us...just like when Bill Clinton was elected, and everyone joked about "President Hilary". Bill's wife did nothing, and had no power, even when she tried. Bringing someone's wife into a political discussion makes a person sound as uninformed and absurd as a Politician bringing up a DWI from 25 years ago...

And l don't mean to single anyone out, we're all entitled to an opinion, and l automatically respect anyone who takes an active interest in their liberty...but did someone say "l'm voting Bush because Gore wants big government"? He does, seeing how he's in bed with the religious right...but that doesn't mean that Bush is just 'one of us'; he's going after the proleteriat just as bad, only on a differant front!

Bottom line: As Gore and Bush have both proven, you'd have to be a fool to trust a word out of a politician's mouth. The only thing you can do, besides flipping a coin, is find something bad about both of them, and see what is worse....it seems that most of this country picks someone in the first week of campaigning, and spends the next few months justifying that decision, and ignoring the simple truth that our government is just like any other business...people will say nice things, just to get you to buy what they're selling.

I voted for "Dubya" I don't understand how Gore spent 8 years in office and dosen't know the millitary is in the worst position in years. In one debate he said that the military is the best ever. WHAT??? Explain that to the families of the USS Cole.

(I was in the military so I get to complain, on your mark, get ready, GO!!!! Flame me)

Do you really want Clinton Part 2?

If I'd make it home in time to vote (which won't happen :-( ) I'd vote Bush, and sprkymrk has some of my main reasons listed already.
but you intel voters are starting to persuade me with the claim that they invented the internet....hmm....i'll have to re-think my political grounds here...

I'm going to vote for the person that I feel will best do the job. Since we in the US have a secret ballot system, that's all I'm going to say q-:

    An election day joke: Both of the major candidates agree on one thing. They both feel that programs on American TV have become a little inappropriate for family viewing. Where they differ is in the content: George W. thinks that there's too much violence on TV, and Al Gore thinks that there's too much sex. In other words, Bush thinks there's too much gore, and Gore thinks there's too much ... well, you know (-;

By the way, just a point of clarification. The PMRC did not end in the 80's. The PMRC still exists, and Tipper is still a major player. But the PMRC did what they set out to do. Didja buy a CD with questionable content that had a warning sticker on it? How much did that hurt you? How much did that hurt the artist? As a parent of two, I pay attention to what my children listen to, but not all parents are the same. Does that mean we as a society should parent those children? No, but we can at least do what we can to educate those parents so that they can at least make an educated decision to either pollute their youngsters' minds with garbage or not.

I'm 31, I listen to Type O Negative, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, and some other music that would make your hair curl. But my children, 9 and 8 years old, do not, and will not until they are old enough. I play Doom and Quake and Half-Life. But my children do not, and will not until they are old enough? What is old enough? That's up to me. But at least I can make an intelligent decision on what my kids will listen to and play and watch on TV. That's not censorship, that's parenting.

I'm not a member of PMRC, and in the 80's I detested what they were doing, because I had no idea what they were about. But ask Eminem today how putting a label on his CD affected his sales, and ask him if he minds.

If you're still opposed to the values Tipper Gore stands for, then good for you for exercising your right as a human being to have an opinion. If you're an American, make sure you go out today and exercise this same right at the voting booths (-:

If Bush gets elected one party will have control over all three branches of the government. That's pretty scarey.
