it takes me an average of 20 minutes to put the hardware together. (i like to be neat)
as for the soft ware and the rest of it,...
depends on the hardware.

I'm told im somewhat "anal" about how I build computers. I tie all the cables up and make them neat, make sure every screw is in tight, stuff that I consider basic when building a computer. I've even broken down when someone brings a computer to me and their are cables all over the place and tied their cables up for them.
Computers that i do on the side I tend to spend more time on though since it's usually for a family member or friend.

Well with all of my systems i usually order them piece by piece online to get the best deals but once I have my system together I can strip It down like a soldier does an M-16. I'de estimate i could put my system back together in 20 minutes from scratch keep in mind this is a full tower with all bays filled and no drive rails.

Now, I'm not talking a sloppy install with cables all over the place and everything. I was trained by a soldier boy how to build a good-looking machine in under 45 minutes.

It takes me around 20 minutes to build a new box with really nice cable management. The techs that work for me and myself are really really anal about how everything looks. We built 20 machines in about 2-3hrs all the same etc.

Pre-OS ie. power up all cables connected, functioning, typicall home PC with modem, sound and cr-rom about 20-30 mins, booted and running a burn-in to look for faulty hardware.
