A woman came in top the shop where I work as a tech, and complained that her internet connection hadn't been working for over a month. I tested the system, and, wonder of wonders, it worked fine. On the off chance that she had plugged the phone cord onto the wrong jack on the modem, I supplied a phone cable, which I left connected to the proper terminal. When she came to pick up her machine, I explained that I had tested her system and found nothing wrong. I went on to explain that I had left the phone cable attached to her PC, and, when she got it home, all she had to do was plug the other end of the cable into the phone jack. I had to bite my tongue when she replied, looking blankly at me, "Phone jack?" Hmmm...wireless internet?
