We do computer work for a trucking company. Apparently, we aren't the only one who deals with the average day to day sh!t of stupidities. One mechanic was saying that they sent their chasis out to get painted, and when the trucks returned they noticed that 3 of the 10 they sent had loose axles on the rear. It turns out that the company who painted the trucks neglected to tighten the bolts properly. So, they thought, "Well, damn. We've got 10 new trucks out there...do we recall them all and cause a driver panic? Do we just discretely take them in one-by-one and possibly raise some suspition?"
