    Talking Evil Support Guy

I had a guy at work today banging on about how, and I quote "ny network is broken" - given that this is a 4000 computer network that would be quite an achievment - but he then turned round and called me a "f***ing halfwit". At this point I put a small program on his system that just ran an MCI device command at random intervals - basically, at random intervals, the CDROM drawer opened itself, and then closed again. I made him apologise before I would fix the problem.

Any other evil tricks to share?

Someone once installed a screensaver called something like "The Screaming Skull" on my system. Screensaver comes on, screen blanks, after a while this skull appears on the screen and starts SCREAMING through the soundcard... he never told me where he got it from.

Look in the Tech Lounge under "Cruel computer joke"... brilliant!

my personal fav is install the "I am Gay" flash into the startup menu and just turn the machine off, when the victum comes back a siren goes off and it flashes in big pink letters I am gay. You have to hit escape to get rid of it and it's just funny watching people panic.

A friend of mine once had a screen saver that blew up little parts of the screen with cute little explosions, erasing the parts behind them as it went. His gf was doing a report for university and stopped to read some notes, didn't know about the screen saver, screamed out loud when it kicked in, but no real harm done. Never did find out where he got it...

They've got some basic ones and some pretty damaging ones as well.

Win Nuke came out a few years back, script kiddies used to use it on IRC back in the day. The program was used to exploit netbios (if I remember right) which would cause the dreaded BSOD. (blue Screen of Death)

All you need to do is replace someone's 56k modem with a 2400 and make sure he/she won't know the difference until he/she connects up and tries to surf.....
