Post Robanton GeForce3 Ti200 64MB

Has anyone dealt with this video card? I can get it for 85 dollars. Just wondering if it's worth it?

Is Robanton any good? Are all GeForce3 cards the same even though they have difference manufacturers? I'll say no they aren't...but I'm not Video Card savy so...

Any information would be appreciated. Or if you know where I can get a better Video card around the same price...I'm all ears....

If ya dont mind the driver updates being few and far between, you can get an ATI 8500 for around that price and it beats that cards panties off. Other than that, the GF 3 Ti200 will play any game out on hte market today and quite well I might add. As for the manufacturer, I havent heard of that paticular one, but the only difference I have ever seen with the different manufactures is the memory and support. Some may argue Card XXX gives me 2 FPS better in XXX game and to that I say BAH!

That is insane! I have both cards available to me for testing, and have tested them extensivly. a 128MB R8500 and a 64 MB GF3 Ti200.
Out-of-the-box, they perform very close to the same, but if you overclock the cards the GF3 Ti200 pulls to a very good advantage.
The ONLY advantage I give the ATI is in memory bandwidth, the ATI get much higher fill rates than a GF3Ti200.
Although I hear ATI's latest driver is "supposed" to make it more in the running with a GF4 Ti4200, but I don't see how.

Right now the sweet spot is the GeForce4 TI4200. There are two flavors a 64MB with a slightly higher clock speed or a 128MB version with a slightly lower clock speed. Get the 128 MB version and OC it. You can get it for around $150 on pricewatch.
anandtech video shoot out And in future games the Geforce4 ti 4200 beats the crap out of the ATI 8500. With much better driver support.

Never get an MX version of a geforce card. No pixil and vertex shaders. As for 64 MB, newer games are going to need more video RAM. DOOM 3 for example uses very large and detailed textures which will run MUCH better on a 128 MB vid card.

I would buy the TI4200 in a heartbeat but unemployment tells me otherwise. So I need a great card at a bargain price. Preferably under 100 dollars.

I was never much into gaming, but since I bought Star Wars Galatic Battlegrounds, Medal of Honor:AA and downloaded America's Army, I've been playing computer games like I never have before and because of it my Rage Fury Pro is beginning to show it's age.

GeForce3 TI 200 $82 is the cheapest I have seen it and it is still a great card.

Is $128 for a GeForce3 Ti200 with 128MB DDR/TV-Out a good deal?

But then again for 60 dollars more I can get a GeForce4 Ti4200 with 128MB DDR/Vivo.

I know if I want a great card, I'm gonna have to pay about $160 or so.

Now my question is, is the difference between the GeForce3 and GeForce4 mentioned here a huge difference??

Remember that in newer games there will be a good deference in performance. If you want you card to last pay a little more now and get more later. It is worth it.

Well, it seems I'll be going for the GeForce4 Ti4200 w/ 128MD DDR for $189.99.

Now all I need to do is save up all my pennies and hopefully I'll be gaming with a kick *** video card in no time.

GokuSS2, thanks for your assistance in helping me choose a video card!!!
