Anyone who is waiting for Windows XP RC1 (which they ordered from microsoft) might want to read this article
http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/ne...chkpt=zdnn_tp_
It will answer alot of questions. I am waiting for it too...
That article explaines why some of us are having problems and waiting a LONG time for OUR CD's/Download Username/Passwords. Worth reading.

this mess pee's me off. can anyone tell me why they are delaying the cd launch? come on, I got the cd because i didn't want to have to wait the month it takes to downoad over my modem! if "pushing forward" with technology means ignoring the needs of those who can't afford or can't recieve broadband, or whatever technology ms wants us to have, i think I'll just have to use linux. windows 95's sys. requirements w/ win 2k's power, how can you go wrong? what, no fancy direct x games and no fancy shell? AHHHHH!!!!
ok, lets just petition to have xp open sourced. then all our problems will be solved.
So, so busy lately. Oh, where do I start?

i checked my credit card account out, and ms hasn't billed me. right after I had logged onto the preview program they emailed and confirmed that I had signed up (jul 2), but said that they wouldn't bill me until rc1 was available. i never got the email that said that rc1 was available to download, but i guess that they aren't giving it to be because i ordered the cd?

From what I understood of the article I don't think they intended to "delay" XP. According to that they had problems on there servers... My opinion is that they might as well wait and send us RC2 on a cd . Thought that article would catch some attention.
