No Video
I'm working on a gateway 2000, Intel Pent II MB, 400 CPU Slot 1, 128 meg ram.
Owner had it set to standby, one day comes home and it just will not work, you can turn it off and back on, you can hear the HD booting up, but NO VIDEO, tryed different memory, various video cards, different CPU, and still nothing, So I figured the MB was gone, BUT now I've puting a differnt MB, and still NO VIDEO.
Is this tell ing me that the Power Supply is not functioning correctly?
Or any other segestions would be appreceated.
Thanks
Computers are like life, constantly changing, and without change we would become STAGNET

I had a similiar problem a HP machine. I ended up trying a different monitor, and that ended up isolating the problem to the video cable or the monitor. (the HP monitor and cable were all in one) So check the cable or monitor and see if they are still good. Good luck

Try booting the system with nothing but video, ram and Processor.
Make sure all cables to Hd, Floppy are correct. Backwards cable oftem means no video.
Do you hear a post beep. If not it could be processor related.
Hope this helps
