    Post MS Office closes right after opening!?

    I've got a client runing Windows 2000 Pro and Office 2000 SR-1. When they open any of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel etc.) it opens up and then closes by itself after about 1 second.

    I've tried doing a repair and complete remove and re-install of MS Office with no change. Anyone seen this before??

    Yes

    It is due to the Product ID that is being used with Office. There is a knowledge base article that explains what to do. This only happens when Office 2K SP1a is installed

    Is the Knowledge Base article you were refering to Q224432 ??

    This was all I could find about programs closing immediately after opening, but my client didn't have the Beta 2 version installed.
