Post InoculateIT, say it ain't so!

I know this was discussed a while ago, but I'd like to go into it again for a moment. From what I understand, the free service is gone, and is being replaced with a pay service. So, they say that they will no longer be registering users. My problem is that I am already a registered user, but with my recent formatting, I am without the install files. This brings up an odd dilema. Are they also not issuing the old install files? If not, is it illegal to obtain the installation file from somewhere else? Thanks.

No they are only continuing to support existing installed versions of it. So if you reinstall Windows, you lose out. If you had the original install routine, I'm not sure if you could use your existing download ID# and email to reregister the software...

If you have a REG ID# the software still works...

It's not been a problem for me, just did a mobo/cpu swap and a reload, just gave it my ID number and update worked fine.

They are offering previously registered users a 1 year subscription to the AV program for $5.95....pretty cheap. You will have to email them w/ your user info if you want it.
