'There's one laptop (mine) where nothing works, it just says that the drivers were installed perfectly and it's ready to use.'
So, start with that one ONLY!
First, no drivers are required, so something is amiss at that level.
Go back to the start of this thread, and follow the chain of advice on THAT laptop.
It sounds more and more like your USB registry entries are confused and need to be cleaned up.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E980-E325 11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
There should be a upperfilter in this directory, but there isn't. What is wrong?
