No Update After SP3

Has anyone else ran into this issue and found a way to cure it. I have tried many things fo google to fix this issue from re-registering services to renaming the distribution folder and so on and nothing seems to work. I have ran into this probably 5 time now since SP3 has been out. I thought it was related to MS updates so I downloaded the re distributable of MS and that seemed to work but now that even is doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Do you get an error when you try getting updates?

The only message I get is that whatever updates are trying to install won't install. If I remove SP3 the updates will install again but die again if I install SP3. I read something where there is a windows update installer that need's to register itself when it installs itself with SP3 and I tried that fix but no go. It's strange for sure but I have had this happen at least 5 time's now with SP3. Another strange thing is it has been on only laptops however that may just be coincidence.

Anyone else confirm the dial a fix thing to work?
