[RESOLVED] MSVCIRT.DLL
What is MSVCIRT.DLL, and where can I get it?When I try to use Adaptec Easy CDCreator, I get the message "A required .DLL file, MSVCIRT.DLL was not found." I'm not sure if this belongs in this category, but I assume that it is a Microsoft driver. BTW, I have an Acer CD-R/RW and an AMD K-6 2 350 Mhz. Any help would be appreciated.

In your windows system folder find and rename the Msvcrt40.dll file then extract a new copy from Ie4mfc40.cab located on the Internet Explorer CD-Rom.

OK, I found the .dll file, but I don't have the Internet Explorer CD-ROM. Plus I use IE 5. I don't know if that makes a difference.Anything else I can do?

Extract it from your WIn 98 disk from Win98_30.cab file.
Hope this helps.

What fair64 said is right, however Adaptec has patches for it's cd-writer software, I think they are on ver 3.5b try that too...good luck...I had the same problem about 12 months ago. BIG HEAD ACHE one of the first patches that adaptec put out addressed the IE4 problem
