Could someone please tell me if there is an advantage to FCPGA over SLOT1 other than price!
And if there is an advantage to SLOT1 over FCPGA. My main board supports Socket 370 or SLOT1. I'm currently looking at the PIII 933MHZIntel.

All cpu mfr will be making pga chips from now on. Its cheaper to make and keep cool, and intel didnt keep amd from going slot which is why we went down that road. anyway, have fun shopping!
I think about the only advantage that Slot 1 would have over Socket 370 is that you can fit a bigger heatsink & fans on it, assuming your motherboard has enough clearance.
(I saw this one setup that had a heatsink on both sides of a Slot 1 Celeron, and a total of FOUR fans! Was supposed to be great for overclocking, but it was probably so expensive that it wasn't really worth it.)

FCPGA [370] is NOT as electrically noise as Slot-1 base boards
Other than it being out dated, there is not much deferent’s (Its not one I would choose now days [slot-1])
The 370 may be going fast if Intel has its way, They are planning to end the PIII production at the end of the year.
