Dynex dvd rw drive. NEED HELP FAST
Hello. I just got a Dynex DVD rw drive today. First off i got it installed with my cd rw drive and my computer recognized it. I played a DVD and the sound didnt work. I messed with the power cords and restarted windows. Now the green light stays on in front and the disc trey wont open. Please help!

Welcome to windrivers bdizzle. The computer recognized the drive and the picture worked, but you had no sound - so this was a good reason to "mess with the power cords"? Did you do this with the computer running? Assuming you haven't mucked something up, put the power cords back to where they were - with the power off. If it still won't work, you probably fried it. Return it, plead ignorance, and learn from your mistake.
As far as the audio, unless you connected an audio cable to your sound card, you need to open the properties for the drive and enable digital audio for the device.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
