Need Help With Norton Ghost
hey guys, i'm having a problem creating a Norton Ghost 7.0 enterprise network bootdisk for my Toshiba Satellite 1400.
In my device manager it show the Nic as a "intel(r) pro/100 m mobile connection", which i cannot find on the intel site anywhere.
I've tried multiple ndis drivers and still can't get anything to work. I'll do more searching on this site when i get back from work, but if anyone has a solution or can point me in the right direction you'd save me some time. thanks, Alex

You should be able to use the Intel Pro 10/100 template in the Ghost Bootdisk Wizard.

i've tried using that (prodos.exe) before to no avail. i get this error:
Error: Unable to locate the nic.
the following are the possible causes:
1. the system may not support the PCI bus.
2.the NIC may not be properly installed in the slot.
3. some of the NIC resources in configuration space may be invalid.
Check for possible errors listed above and run diagnostics.
Failure: Driver did not load, NDIS environment invalid.
MS-DOS Lan Manager v2.1 Netbind
IBM Netbind version 2.1
Error: 33 Unable to bind
so that's what i get, it's the same error i get if i try and use the Ghost template intel driver. the NDIS file is the same:
E100B.DOS (E100B$)

Let's stick to just one thread
This is what Symantec says:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...st&svy=&csm=no
And you've added it as suggested?

his is the protocol.ini from the Intel Pro 10/100 template in the Ghost Bootdisk Wizard:
[protman]
drivername=PROTMAN$
[pktdrv]
drivername=PKTDRV$
bindings=nic
intvec=0x60
chainvec=0x66
[nic]
drivername = E100B$

i finally got it working!
Solution: i used the Ghost Bootdisk Wizard with Intel Pro 10/100 template and made a bootdisk. then i copied the e100b.dos from the prodos.exe on to my bootdisk, which copied over the old one (there was a slight difference in size) and it worked.
