No Active Mixer Device
HI I RECENTLY HAD TO REBOOT MY XP HOME COMPUTER AND EVER SINCE THEN MY COMPUTER ISN'T PLAYING ANY SOUNDS.
THERE IS AN ODD BLEEP FROM THE MONITOR BUT IT SEEMS AS THOUGH IT WON'T FIND MY SPEAKERS.
THERE IS NO VOLUME ICON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN AND WHEN I TRY GOING ON TO VOLUME CONTROL THROUGH THE START UP MENU IT SAYS SOMETHING LIKE ''there are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices go to control panel, click printers and other hardware and click add hardware. This program will now close''
I have no CDs with this computer and all I know that its motherboard is something like INTEL CELERON SOCKET 436
Please help because I really need my computer to play sounds.
Thankyou
