Why am I becoming my father as I get older? Pretty soon I'll be wearing the plaid shorts in the summer and shakin' my fist at " Those damn kids down the street"...

Why is it if someone calls and leaves a message stating to call back ASAP because it's an emergency that they never answer the phone when you call back?

The emergency has claimed their lives, freeing you from any further obligations.
By the way, I strongly suggest you add the line "Lack of adequate planning on your part does not immediately constitute an emergency on my part" to your voicemail message.
Feel free to add audio smilies at the end.

If scientific progress continues at the same pace, hopefully this. (NSFW language)

...To grossly simplify it, on a scale smaller than atoms, the quantum level, everything suddenly turns into a ****** circus. Quantum physics is to regular everyday physics as a David Lynch film is to a mainstream blockbuster. We're talking particles popping in and out of existence, being in two places at the same time, and generally acting like @$$holes. <----- Funny site!

Actually, you *are* your father.
Blame it on a faulty synthetic temporal nexus and a broken condom.*
Next question.
* Yes. The Zaphod Beelblebrox character is based on your life. Douglas Adams bought the rights to it. Your life, hat is. Expect invoices from his estate soon if you plan on going on with it. Your life, that is.

I was wondering this, too. Even with opposable thumbs, peeling the lids off those flat rectangular tins is quite difficult. Dolphins, sharks and gannets are digitally challegenged. So how....

Hey.... this is Ask Stalemate, not ask houseisland!

No I am not having any troubles with booting or rebooting my PC. But it is usually the first question that anyone asks, and I don't think anyone has asked it in this thread previously.
And what about the predators and sardine tins?

Which only leads me to also ask: Have you unplugged the modem and tried restarting the PC?

Answer: The daddy chicken came first, then selfishly ignored mommy chicken's needs by passing out, exhausted.
Explanation: Daddy chicken had been partying all night with the boys, being rowdy and generally making asses of themselves daring each other to cross the road in front of moving vehicles. Intoxicated by fermented grain and energized by the realization he was still alive after these stunts, his morning crowing was a wake up call in more ways than one. Nudge, nudge. Grin, grin.
Men.... Typical.
