Their font-end apps access the cloud data. Plain and simple. I wrote code to be used by front-end apps for Amazon cloud data access so ummmm....
I think it's cool that you've done some of the programming for these services, but as you and I often seem to do, I think we are having an apples and oranges conversation.
Sorry if I'm wrong, but I think you see it as mostly about the code, and I think it is mostly about the interface.
